Meta Ads managed to grow your shop, with email alongside.

I run Facebook and Instagram ads for small shops every month, in your own ad account. The ads bring new customers in. The email marketing makes sure they come back. One person runs both, so they work as one plan. Management from £250 a month, with ad spend paid by you straight to Meta.

Why Meta Ads and email marketing belong together

_□×

Meta Ads are good at one thing email cannot do: putting your shop in front of people who have never heard of it. Email is good at the thing ads struggle with: getting someone who bought once to buy again without paying for the click a second time.

Run on their own, both leave money behind. Ads without email pay to find a customer, then lose them. Email without ads talks to the same list every month while it slowly shrinks. Together, the ads fill the list and the email turns that list into repeat orders, which makes every pound of ad spend go further.

The longer version, with a simple setup for a small shop, is in Meta Ads and email marketing together.

Meta ad account audit

_□×

Before anything changes, I go through your existing ad account by hand: campaign structure, audiences, creative, tracking and what each campaign has actually returned. You get it in writing, ranked by what is costing you most.

If you have never run ads, the audit looks at your shop, your margins and your list instead, and says whether Meta Ads are worth starting yet.

Meta Ads campaign setup

_□×

A simple account structure that a small budget can actually learn from: one campaign to find new customers, one to bring back people who have visited or engaged, and lead ads to grow the list. Audiences, budgets and placements are set for your shop, not copied from a template.

Pixel and Conversions API setup

_□×

Since Apple's tracking changes in 2021, the Meta pixel on its own misses a share of sales. The Conversions API sends purchase data from your shop's server as well, which gives Meta better information to optimise with and gives you more accurate reporting.

Shopify, WooCommerce and most shop platforms have an official connection. I set it up, check the events match, and make sure your cookie banner is respected. The UK consent rules are covered in UK email marketing law.

Ad creative and copy

_□×

I write the copy and build the creative from your product photos, video and brand assets. Each month you get 3 or 6 new ads depending on your tier, so the account always has fresh creative to test, and the weak ones are switched off.

If your imagery is not usable for ads, I will say so before we start. New photography and video are not part of the fee.

Lead ads that grow your email list

_□×

A lead ad lets someone join your list without leaving Facebook or Instagram. Their details go straight into your email platform and into the welcome series, so the money spent finding them keeps working for months after the click.

This is usually the cheapest way for a small shop to grow a list fast, and it is the clearest example of the two channels working together. More on growing a list properly is on list growth.

Retargeting from email segments

_□×

Your email platform knows who has bought, who has lapsed and who keeps browsing. Those segments can be synced to Meta as custom audiences.

  • Recent buyers are left out of acquisition ads, so you stop paying to reach people who just ordered
  • Lapsed customers see a winback ad in the same week as the winback flow
  • Lookalike audiences are built from your best customers, not everyone who ever clicked

Monthly Meta Ads management

_□×
  1. Week one: review last month, agree budget and focus
  2. Week two: new creative and copy drafted and sent for approval
  3. Weeks two to four: ads live, budgets and audiences adjusted as results come in
  4. Day 30: one page of numbers alongside the email report: spend, sales, cost per sale, new subscribers and what changes next

Meta Ads pricing and ad spend

_□×

Management is £250 a month for an ad budget up to £1,000, with 3 new ads a month. Up to £2,000 is £400 a month with 6 new ads. Over £2,000 is priced on request. Ad spend is separate and paid by you directly to Meta from your own account, so you see exactly what was spent and there is no markup on it. The full price list, including email, is on pricing.

Questions people ask

_□×

Do I need email marketing to use Meta Ads?

No, but the two work far better together. Without email, most of the people your ads bring in buy once or not at all and are never heard from again.

How much should I spend on ads each month?

It depends on your prices, margins and what a customer is worth over a year. I suggest a starting budget after the audit and will say plainly if it is too low to learn anything from.

Is ad spend included in the £250?

No. The management fee (£250 or £400 a month, depending on budget) is for the work. Ad spend goes straight from you to Meta, so there is no markup on it.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. I am added as a partner in your Business account and removed the day you ask.

Do you run Google or TikTok ads?

No. Meta Ads and email only, so both get proper attention.
