Email marketing in Brighton

I work with Brighton shops and ecommerce brands remotely and monthly, inside your own email platform. This page covers what is different about a Brighton list: independent, values-led buyers and a calendar with some big local moments.

Everything runs remotely, by email and the occasional video call. There is no Brighton office and I do not hold in-person meetings.

Working with a freelance email marketer in Brighton

Brighton is known for its independent shops, from the North Laine to makers selling online from a spare room. Many are one- or two-person businesses, so email is usually the job that gets done last.

That is the case for handing it to a freelancer. You keep the brand and the voice. I do the writing, building and checking, and you get one page of numbers every 30 days.

What is different about a Brighton ecommerce list

Three things, in practice.

Buyers expect a real voice

Brighton customers can tell a template from a person. Plain, specific emails that sound like the founder usually beat polished promotional designs.

Ingredient and sourcing claims need proof

Vegan, wellness and sustainable brands need claims that are accurate and specific. The CMA’s Green Claims Code applies to email as well as the website.

Local events suit local subscribers

The Brighton Festival and Fringe in May and Pride in August bring big crowds. If you sell at events or in a shop, send the event emails only to subscribers nearby.

Summer is busier than in many cities because of visitors. Capture them with a signup at the till or the stall, and a welcome series written for people who have already met you in person.

Veganuary is a real moment for food and drink brands. In winter, Small Business Saturday in early December often suits Brighton independents better than Black Friday, and the last-order-date email remains the most useful send before Christmas.

None of that needs a bespoke strategy. It needs a calendar agreed in advance, so nothing is written in a panic.

How the monthly work runs, wherever you are

The arrangement is the same for a Brighton brand as for one anywhere else. Everything runs remotely, by email and the occasional video call. There is no Brighton office and I do not hold in-person meetings, which is part of why the price is what it is.

I work inside your existing email platform. Campaigns get written and sent, the flows your plan covers get built and looked after, list health gets checked, and you get one page of numbers every 30 days. The pricing page has the numbers, and getting started sets out the first month week by week.

What the first ninety days looks like

Month one: fix and build

Deliverability and list hygiene first, then the first flows your plan covers, usually welcome and abandoned cart. Nothing new gets sent into a broken account.

Month two: rhythm

Campaigns on an agreed calendar, drafted a fortnight ahead, in a template built for a phone. Further flows go in behind them if your plan includes them.

Month three: segment and refine

By now there is enough data to split the list properly and improve individual emails on their own numbers rather than guesses. The services page covers the ongoing shape of it.

Brighton email marketing FAQs

_□×

Do you meet clients in Brighton?

No. Everything runs remotely, by email and, when it helps, a video call. You are never waiting for a meeting to get an answer.

I am a one-person shop. Is this worth it?

Often more so. Single items start at £50 on the pricing page, and a welcome series plus an abandoned cart flow can keep earning for years once built.

Do you reply to my customers?

No. Replies from your customers land in your inbox and stay yours to answer. I answer your questions about the email work.

What do you need to get started?

Your shop URL for the free audit. If you go ahead, user access to your email platform and the few things listed on getting started.
